About the Feminist Society

We are a group of students at Wymondham High Academy working to promote equality and inclusivity throughout the school and local community. The society was founded in 2021, as a reactionary group for activism following the murder of Sarah Everard and we worked hard in support of the #MeToo movement. This past year, our focus has been on creating a legacy within the school and a positive impact by uplifting and celebrating women in our community.

We are inclusive, intersectional feminists, who define feminism as the advocacy for people of all genders to have equal rights and opportunities.
